CEO's Word
The last decade announced new drivers for changes in the businesses, which
become today a reality, at a dramatically accelerating speed.
These drivers make CEO’s, CFO’s and CIO’s life more challenging than ever,
given the shareholders’ pressure for increased return on investment, the
regulatory constraints as well as citizens’ need for constantly improving public
services.
Winning
this race to excellence needs among others a state-of-the art information
system, which main parameters are agility, openness and scalability with a
guarantee of business continuity and room for innovation.
They decline under the form of enlarged Web architectures as enabler for
emerging business channels, legacy systems integration, as well as acceleration
of the automation of corporate key business processes.
Information Technology does not drive the business anymore. For years now, the
trend has been reversing and IT has hopefully constantly aligned to the business
strategy. Concurrently applications are now part of a more mature ‘Service’
concept which will better support corporate key business processes.
Having recognised and anticipated this evolution in both the business and the
